South Africa head coach Mark Boucher has hinted at the return of AB de Villiers
AB de won everyone's heart with his batting in IPL 2020, to international cricket. AB de Villiers batted well in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League in the UAE and led Bangalore (RCB) to the playoffs. In May 2018, ABA, known as Mr 360, surprised everyone by retiring from international cricket.
Former South African batsman AB de Villiers has requested to return to the squad for the 2019 ODI World Cup. But South Africa Cricket Board rejected his offer. If the board had accepted AB's offer, AB could have played in the ICC event, but it did not happen.
However, cricket has changed the leadership of South Africa and since then the team management led by Mark Boucher is ready to welcome AB de Villiers with open arms. The truth is that if everything went according to plan he would have played the T20 World Cup for South Africa. Indeed, according to previous plans, the T20 World Cup 2020 was to be played in Australia in October-November. According to Mark Boucher, AB de is part of his team's plan and the former captain is always in the news whenever he plays a good game.
Head coach Mark Boucher said about AB de Villiers' return to international cricket that talks with AB were already underway. He is always in the discussion when he plays good cricket. I have not had any discussion with him yet, he is playing in IPL and his IPL has also been very good. AB de Villiers has continued to play well in the IPL even after retirement and could be in talks with South African team de Villiers ahead of next year's T20 World Cup.
De Villiers retired in May 2018 and said he is now very tired and wants to rest. His decision, which took almost a year from the World Cup 2019, took everyone by surprise. In spite of the fact that the AB de Villiers later communicated a craving to re-visitation of worldwide cricket, it was straight denied by the South African Cricket Board at that point.
