IPL 2020 | KXIP Vs DC | A Magnificent Fifty By Marcus Stoinis

Highlight Delhi Capitals:

The Delhi Capitals did not have a great start but in the last 3 overs, Marcus Stoinis' big knock knocked Delhi Capitals to a respectable score.

Shikhar Dhawan was run out for a duck in the second over. Prithvi Shaw (5) and Shimron Hetmyer were both picked up in a sizzling opening spell by Mohammed Shami (3/15). Rishabh Pant (31) and Shreyas Iyer (39) then put on a rescue act, till the former was picked up as young leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi’s (1/22) first IPL wicket.

Shami came back into the attack to pick up Iyer’s wicket to sink DC into a hole. Sheldon Cottrell also picked up his first wicket for KXIP, bringing out Ravi Ashwin at number 8 against his former team

Last Over:

Stoinis signals his intentions to destroy those figures. Crashes a shot through the covers for four to start the over. Swivels and pulls over fine leg for another four the next ball. Stoinis finds the gap on the offside again as Cottrell now goes wide of off stump. Gives Ashwin strike for the last ball of the over. Ashwin is out, caught by Shami at third man. It's all on Stoinis (28*) in the last over now!

>> Stoinis keeps firing in last over

Rabada is in at 9 for Delhi. He is at the non'striker's end and hoping he'll not need to move from there in this over. Jordan bowls the 20th over. Stoinis strides across off stump and pumps the first ball of the over for a six over cow corner. Delhi crosses 130. It's Stoinis vs Jordan now!

>> Stoinis scores an excellent 50 off 20 balls!!

Stoinis swings again. Gets an edge to go for four. Jordan goes for the yorker. Misses. Stoinis swings towards fine leg this time. Four more! It's Stoinis doing some super salvaging stuff for Delhi at the death. Another four off the fourth ball.

Smashes on the offside for a boundary this time. Exhibition hitting from Stoinis. He's enjoying this. Rabada, delightedly pumping fists with him, is enjoying his time at the other end too. Jordan (0/45 from 3.4) is not! Stoinis smashes another six off the fifth ball! That's his 50! Off 20 balls. What a turnaround!

>> Stoinis run out - No-ball off the last ball

What a tour-de-force finish to the innings. Stoinis is run out off the last ball! But hang on a sec, it's not the last ball. A no-ball is called. Stoinis is out 53 off 21 balls. But there'll be an extra ball. DC 154/8 after 19.5 overs, with Stoinis being welcomed into the dugout like a hero returning.

>> DC put up 157/8 in 20 overs

Marcus Stoinis! That was who defined the innings. What a comeback from Delhi. They were looking like they were in trouble of not crossing 120 at one stage. Stoinis (53 off 21 balls) put on a blistering show to salvage their score. KXIP will need 158 to win.
