Australia's huge score knocking Indian bowlers to their knees
The second match of the 3 ODI series between host Australia and India was played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia scored 390 runs against India in the first innings. In response, the Indian team lost 9 wickets in 50 overs and scored 338 runs. Thus, in the second ODI too, India lost by 51 runs and Australia has captured the ODI series. This is the first time in the history of the Indian team's 978 matches that the opposition's opening batsmen have recorded a century partnership in 3 consecutive innings against the Indian bowlers. Martin Guptill and Henry Nichols first shared a 106-run partnership with the New Zealand team in February this year. Aaron Finch and David Warner then shared a 156-run partnership in the first ODI against Australia and a 142-run partnership in the second ODI on Sunday.
