Yuvraj Singh Will Not Be Able To Return In Indian Cricket | BCCI rejects application

Yuvi's dreams of returning to Indian cricket were shattered.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will serve to open the Indian domestic cricket season, which was closed by the Corona epidemic. All the state cricket associations are preparing for the tournament. Several states have also announced their teams for the tournament. The former all-rounder of India Yuvraj Singh was expected to return to cricket from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Punjab team. But the BCCI has rejected his name. Hence his dreams of returning to Indian cricket were shattered.

Yuvraj, who retired from international cricket, had decided to play for his state at the request of Punjab Cricket Association secretary Punit Bali. Later, Yuvraj was included in the 30-man squad of Punjab for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. So he started training at the Punjab Cricket Stadium.

However, he would not play in the tournament as he did not get a chance in the announced 20-member squad of Punjab. It will be difficult for Yuvraj to return to Indian cricket. Because when he retired, he had competed in various league competitions. Therefore, he is not eligible for competitions under BCCI as per BCCI rules. In this way, the Board of Control for Cricket in India rejected their application to play in the domestic T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Yuvraj Singh's cricket career

Yuvraj, better known as 'Six King', made his international debut against Kenya in 2000. He has since played 304 ODIs and scored 8701 runs. He also took 111 wickets. In T20 cricket, he played 58 matches and scored 1177 runs and took 28 wickets. He also scored 1900 runs and took 9 wickets in 40 Tests.

However, after playing his last ODI against the West Indies in June 2017, he did not find a place in the team again. However, after waiting for 2 years, he finally announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2019.
