IND VS AUS | Rohit Sharma Will Leave For Australia On The 19th

Rohit will have to be quarantined for 15 days

Opener Rohit Sharma has passed the fitness test and is now likely to play in the last two Tests against Australia. Rohit was ruled out of the T20 and ODI series against Australia due to an injury sustained during the IPL. Rohit took a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Friday and his report has been handed over to the BCCI by the NCA.

According to reports, Rohit is now fully fit and is likely to leave for Australia on December 15. Rohit is currently in Mumbai. Rohit's fitness test was conducted under the supervision of veteran Indian batsman and NCA director Rahul Dravid. Dravid was given the responsibility of handing over Rohit's fitness certificate.

Mumbai-based opener Rohit will have to be quarantined for 15 days before practising for the third and fourth Tests in Sydney (January 7-11) and Brisbane (January 19) as per Australian government protocol. He will then move to Sydney and practice for a week. There has been a lot of speculation about Rohit's fitness over the last few weeks. Skipper Virat Kohli also invited a new controversy by stating that he was not aware of Rohit's fitness.
