Ravindra Jadeja trolled by cricket fans on Twitter.
Today (December 28) is the third day of the Boxing Dat Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. India captain Ajinkya Rahane and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja started the innings with 279 for five. Rahane was about to move towards 150 after completing his Test century. However, Rahane was run out due to Jadeja's mistake. This was the first time he had been run out in a Test.
Rahane and Jadeja were playing carefully and leading the team's innings. By the 99th over, Jadeja had scored 49 runs. So he was in a hurry to complete his half-century. Australian spinner Nathan Lyon came to bowl the 100th over of the innings. He did not allow Jadeja to score a single run on the first four balls of his over. Jadeja had a chance to take a run on the fifth ball so he ran fast. But the ball hit by Jadeja did not go far. Still, Rahane decided to take a dangerous run to support his partner.
Class shots from Ajinkya Rahane. This inning will be the best one for a while. Well Played Champ!😩❤️#AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/fhnCcEoxt3

First time run out
The Australian players did not miss this golden opportunity. Marnus Labushane caught the ball fast and threw it towards wicketkeeper Tim Payne, and as he watched. In such a situation, Tim Payne did not make any mistake in dismissing Rahane. Rahane returned to the pavilion with 112 runs with the help of 12 fours. Importantly, this was the first time in his Test career that he was run out. However, Rahane got out not one but two batsmen this year due to his mistake and now he himself has been run out.
Virat Kohli was run out
In the first Test between India and Australia in Adelaide, Virat Kohli lost his wicket due to Rahane's mistake. On the first day of the match, Virat and Rahane shared 81 runs. This included Virat's innings of 74 runs. However, Virat lost his wicket for no reason as Rahane did not complete the run despite signaling a run in 76.6 overs.
Rahane hit an easy shot on the last ball of the 77th over of the innings. He gestured to Virat to run with the intention of taking a run on the ball. But he did not run away after that. But Virat had raced to complete the run. At that point, the Australian players grabbed the ball and threw it towards the stumps, and Virat was run out.
Rishabh Pant was run out before Virat
Before Virat, Rishabh Pant had to lose his wicket due to a mistake. The incident took place in the first Test against New Zealand in Wellington in February 2020. Rahane, who was on strike in 58.2 overs of the first innings of the match, ran for one run. But the fielder noticed that he had caught the ball with speed and Pant, who was on strike, was thinking of running. But given that Rahane was well ahead of the crease, Pant had to run for the run and he was run out for just 19 runs.
