India had a poor start when Prithvi missed out on Starc's ball
Today, the first match of the year's most high profile series between India and Australia is being held in Adelaide. It is by far the most prestigious and heavyweight series in the Coronal. The first match of the four-match Test series is also special because it is India's first day-night match on foreign soil. India won the toss and decided to bat first and by the end of the day's play had scored 233 for the loss of 6 wickets.India had a poor start when Prithvi Shaw missed out on Mitchell Starc's ball in the first over and the rift between the bat-pads did the work. After this Mayank Agarwal looked to be accumulating but he was dismissed by 17 runs. Then Pujara looked strong at the crease and Kohli was with him at the other end.
However, Pujara was dismissed by Nathan Lyon for 43 runs. He faced 160 balls. After this, Kohli completed his half-century but due to a misunderstanding with Rahane, he was run out on a score of 74. After this, Rahane also could not stand and scored 42 runs and was out on a new ball from Stork.
From here, India could not afford the second new ball and Hanuma Vihari also scored 16 runs. He was lbw by Hazlewood. Saha and Ashwin were playing till the end of the day's play.
Pink Ball is not new to Australia and they have a hundred percent record of winning all day-night Test matches on their own soil. India has excluded Gill and Rahul in this match while placing a bet on Prithvi Shaw. Apart from this, young Turks like Navdeep Saini and Siraj could not find place in bowling and Umesh Yadav joined as the third seamer.
